Crew Leader - Radio traffic, Flake line, Forcible entry,
Direct the fire attack (radio, handlight, halligan)
3. Nozzelman
- Stretch handline, Initiate fire attack (nozzle, watercan if no handline)
4.
Ventman - Horizontal vent, Positive pressure ventilation, Shag hose
(2 hooks, fan, handlight)
5. Hydrant Man* - Tag hydrant, assist
with outside operations (hydrant bag, irons)
*Becomes Ventman on a
4 person crew

1. Driver - Take over pump operations,
Lighting (radio)
2. Search - Search & Rescue (halligan, handlight)

1. Driver/Ladder Operator - Park truck properly,
Aerial as needed, Safety/Acct. if the aerial is not used

Ladders - Ladder every upper level in at least 2 places (we consider
the roof an upper level), RIT*
3. Ventilation - Ventilation
as determined by OIC (roof saw), RIT*
4. Ventilation - Ventilation
as determined by OIC (8' hook, pick axe), RIT*
5. Ground Ladders
- Ladder every upper level in at least 2 places (we consider the roof
an upper level), RIT*
*These FFs are usually assigned to additional
search/fire attack when their tasks are done as our 1st alarm RIT
is usually already on scene

In Rescue (MVC)
1. Crew Leader/Rescue Officer - Develop
rescue plan, Start generator/power unit, Lighting, Safety (radio)

Spreader Man - Spreader to work area, All spreader work (spreader)
3.
Cutter Man - Cutter to work area, Glass removal, All cutter work (cutter,
glass master)
4. Stabilization - Chock tires, 4 point stabilization,
Maintain stabilization (cribbing)
5. Runner - Secure power system,
Retrieve additional equipment, Assist w/stabilization (irons, wire
cutters)
