Early Morning Structure with Jackson
August 14.  Jackson requested the box assignment at 0136hrs this morning.  This brought E1905 with 5 firefighters.  They arrived on scene minutes later to find that Jackson had already knocked most of the fire in a wood frame single family dwelling.  Command, 1421 Chief Doug Reed, requested E1905 to set-up the RIT on side alpha.  As soon as units were done with set-up, they were requested inside for a secondary search.  The crew then helped with overhaul.  They were sent directly to a dumpster fire in Jackson's area at 0222hrs.  Once that call was cleared, they returned to quarters.  There were no injuries reported on the house fire and the State Fire Marshall's office has been called to investigate.  Wellston maintained 2 crews in station during the incidents.

"E1905 on Scene... Fully Involved..."
August 19.  At 0138hrs, 911 calls started pouring in for a house fire on East 12th Street.  E1905 arrived on scene 4 minutes later to find a 1 story, wood frame, single family dwelling, fully involved, with exposure problems on Side Bravo.  E5's crew pulled a 1.75" line and started knocking the fire from the outside.  E1906 arrived 2 minutes later, laying the hydrant and pulling a back-up line.  Both crews made entry and completed knock down while initiating a primary search.  The fire was knocked down and the primary reported negative within 10 minutes.  R1908's crew, and the mutual aid crews, completed overhaul and started with the investigation.  Due to several layers of roofing and multiple hidden areas, crews were on scene until around 0700hrs.  One firefighter suffered a minor injury during the incident.  He was treated and released on scene.

Van Rollover with Entrapment - Mulga Rd
August 1.  FF Bill Denney marked on scene of a single vehicle MVC at 2035hrs this evening.  He quickly advised of 1 female trapped and requested the Rescue assignment.  E1905 & R1908 were enroute within 1 minute and arrived on scene 4 minutes later to find a van rolled over into the woods with the driver trapped.  It was quickly determined that the roof would need to be flapped to removed the driver.  E1905 pulled a protective handline while R1908 started stabilization.  The cutters and air chisel were then used to flap the roof.  The extrication was completed within 8 minutes and the patient was transported Priority 2 to HMC-J by Medic 091.
