Structure Fire at Noah's Ark Claims Several Animals
November 15.  The 911 line rang for a structure fire at 1933hrs.  With a training class in session, E1905 & E1906 were quickly enroute to Noah's Ark with 10 men.  Since half of the park is covered by Jackson FD, they were also alerted.  E1905 arrived on scene 5 minutes later to find a 20'x30' enclosed cage fully involved.  They stretched a line while E1906's crew grabbed some hooks.  All crews worked to knock the fire down and overhaul the building.  The fire was controlled in less than 10 minutes.  Unfortunately, several animals perished in the fire.  The crews cleared the scene at 2025hrs and returned to the station to finish training.

Sawdust Silo Fire at Merillat
November 21.  Jackson was alerted to Merillat Industries just before 0900hrs this morning.  They arrived on scene to find a working fire in the sawdust silo behind the plant and in the trailer of a tractor trailer loaded with sawdust.  The assignment was quickly upgraded, bringing E1905 to the scene as the 3rd due engine.  E1905 was assigned the tractor trailer while Jackson and Coalton units contained the fire inside the silo.  E5's crew then stood by while the other units overhauled the silo.  Wellston units were on scene for just over an hour.

1st Due Trailer Fire on West 13th Street
November 22.  At 1654hrs, the box was filled for a residential structure fire in the 200 Block of West 13th St.  A/C Tom Helm arrived on scene a minute later and advised of a 14'x60' mobile home with fire showing from Sides Alpha, Charlie and Delta.  E1905 arrived and stretched a 1 3/4" line to the front door and started fire attack.  E1906 pulled up 2nd and laid in with a hydrant (which ended up being dead).  E6 performed the primary search, which turned out negative, and E5 had the fire knocked down within 8 minutes.  Crews performed overhaul and the assignment was scaled back within half an hour.  There were no injuries and the home was unoccupied.  Wellston units were back in service in an hour and a half.

E1905 2nd in on Fully Involved House
November 4.  At 1340 hrs, the box assignment was filled out for a working house fire at 2181 Kessinger School Rd, in Jackson's 1st due.  Due to several County firefighters being out on training, E1905 was 2nd in.  They arrived a minute after E1405 to find a 1 story, wood frame, 60 x 30, single family dwelling with heavy fire showing from all sides.  E1405 had already stretched 2 lines and E1905's crew split to back-up each line and start pulling walls.  E1905 provided 2 loads of water and the fire was brought under control within a half hour.  Extensive overhaul was performed, and after putting everything back in service, Wellston crews cleared at 1541 hours.  There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
