Barn Fire With Hamden
October 17.  At 1216hrs, the tones dropped for a second due job in Hamden's area.  E1905, with a crew of 3, responded to a fully involved barn fire on Clinton Twp Rd 3.  Crews initiated exterior operations on their arrival.  Our Engine provided water and manpower to Hamden crews.  The fire was contained relatively quickly and E5 was in service at 1328hrs.  The station wasn't quiet for long though.  We responded on 2 MVCs and a brush fire before 2000hrs.

2 Car MVC With 2 Trapped
October 17.  Crews handled a 2 car MVC on St Rt 93 near St Rt 788 around 1700hrs this evening.  We were back at the station a little less than an hour when we were alerted for another 2 car MVC.  This crash was at St Rt 32 and County Rd 38 (again).  E1905 arrived on scene just after the 1st Medic, which had A/C Ryan Pelletier on board, and found there were 2 patients trapped in one of the vehicles.  R1908 arrived on scene shortly thereafter and performed 2 door pops to free the patients.  Crews then assisted with packaging and removal of the patients.  Both were transported priority 2 to HMC-Jackson.  The occupants of the other vehicle signed refusals on scene.  Crews cleared the scene within half an hour, only to be sent to a brush fire about a mile from the scene.  That fire was contained with B1909, and all crews returned to service around 1945hrs.

Rains Bring Crashes
October 25.  Crews assisted SEOEMS with a 2 car crash around 1000hrs this morning.  1 patient was transported with neck pain.  We were back in service in less than an hour.  Just minutes after returning to station, E1905 was alerted to assist on another crash at the infamous "Slaughterhouse Curve" on SR 93 north of Wellston.  The Engine arrived on scene at 1120hrs to find a car into the trailer of a semi.  The car had spun 180 degrees before hitting the trailer.  It then spun another 360 degrees before coming to rest just off the right side of the road.  Bystanders had removed the lone occupant of the vehicle thru the rear window of the car prior to our arrival.  The crew helped with packaging of the patient and secured the vehicle.  We then provided a driver for M081 while they transported their Priority 1 patient to HMC-Jackson.  The rest of the crew helped with fluids and assisted PD with the investigation.  E5 returned to service at 1315hrs.
