Storms Keep 4 Crews Busy
July
25. Crews handled 6 calls today. The afternoon started
off with a Medical Assist with M092. Shortly after crews got
back in station, around 1700hrs, a strong thunderstorm moved through
the area. The first call was a tree down, on a car, with primary
lines down. E1905, R1908 & RE1203 responded and found
an approximately 80' tree that had fallen on top of a moving car.
The tree also pulled down 2 - 7,600 volt primary lines and broke
the neutral line. Crews determined everyone was out of the vehicle
and stood by until the arrival of County service personnel.
Crews handled 3 other lines down calls, including 1 with a small fire
outside the house. E1905 & E1906 responded to a residential
fire alarm on Mulga Rd to end the evening.
