May 21. Box 195 was filled for a structure fire

& R1908 responded with a crew of 10 along with E1204, EH2, and

was scaled back. Within 5 minutes, Command 1923 A/C Ryan Pelletier,
held the call with Wellston units and released fill-in companies.

May 26. At 2200hrs, R1908 responded
with a crew of 6 to a 1 car crash on Lesmil Rd just outside Hamden.
Hamden FD units on scene confirmed entrapment. Crews arrived to
find a car on its side with one occupant inside. FFs stabilized
the vehicle and flapped the roof to allow for better access to the
patient. R8's crew helped Medic 081 with packaging before
transport of the Priority 2 patient to Holzer Medical Center - Jackson.
Wellston crews were back in service by 2100hrs.

May 13. Just before 1100hrs,
E1906 was responded with 4 FFs to a vehicle fire just inside 1200's
area. E6 arrived just as E1203 was getting the first water on
the fire. Crews had the fire knocked down quickly, but the fuel
cell ruptured and the heat from the vehicle ignited the gasoline.
FFs had to use a dry chemical extinguisher and foam to get the fire
contained. E6 helped Coalton units get their rig back in service
before clearing about 45 minuts later. We've had a very slow
month so far, but that may change quickly with the hot dry weather
of the past few days!
